RRB has released the short notification for JE 2025-26, this time RRB has released the notification for bumper vacancy recruitment of 2,570 posts for Junior Engineer candidates.
In which Indian Railways RRB JE has come out for the posts of Junior Engineer (JE), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS), Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA).
To apply for this, a short notice has been issued by RRB JE on 29th September 2025 for the candidates studying B.E/ B.Tech, Diploma.

RRB JE has issued short notice for recruitment of 2570 posts for the candidates to apply in RRB JE, along with this its detailed notification will be done on the official website.
Indian Railways has issued this under CENTRALISED EMPLOYMENT NOTICE (CEN) No. 05/2025.
RRB NTPC Eligibility Criteria:Qualification:
For this post of RRB JE, it is mandatory for the candidate to have passed Degree or Diploma in Engineering in the relevant subject from any recognized university or institute. Along with this, for graduation, Physics and Chemistry in Science should have been passed with at least 55%.
Age limit and relaxation:
To apply for the post of RRB JE (Junior Engineer), the age limit of the candidates should be at least 18 years and the maximum age limit is 33 years.Please note that RRB JE age limit is to be measured as on 01/01/2026.
Also, if we talk about age limit relaxation, then as per the rules, relaxation in the upper age limit has been given for special reservation reserved categories.
Important Dates of RRB JE:
RRB JE has released the short notice on 29th September 2025.
The starting date for applying for RRB JE is 31/10/2025.
And the last date for application is 30/11/2025.
Due to which candidates will get up to 1 month time to apply.
Application Fee:
The application fee for RRB JE is category-wise and is ₹500 for General/OBC/EWS candidates, And the application fee for SC/ST/PwBD/Female/Ex-Serviceman candidates has been kept at ₹250.
And for transgender candidates also it has been kept at ₹250.
Along with this, the candidates have to pay the fee through online mode before the last date of submission of RRB JE application form.
Exam Pattern for RRB JE:
Based on the notice issued by the Railway Recruitment Board, the pattern of RRB JE CBT 1 and CBT 2 examinations is as follows – Both CBT 1 and CBT 2 examinations are going to be computer based which will be optional (multiple choice).
Talking about the time duration, in RRB JE, CBT 1 will be of 90 minutes and CBT 2 will be of 120 minutes.
After this, if we talk about the number of questions, there will be 100 questions in CBT 1 and 150 questions in CBT 2. Also, its main point is that negative mark has been fixed at 1/3.
Selection Process:
To get selected in RRB Junior Engineer, candidates will be put through 4 different stages.
In which the first exam will be conducted through CBT-1 and the second through CBT-2.
After this, the document verification of the candidates will be done, after that the medical test of the candidates will be done.
